The Infernal Order

The Infernal Order is the network of friends, collaborators and conspirators that have decided to take on the extra commitment and have applied for formal membership in the Modern Church of Satan.

Never members only

No formal membership is required to be a part of the Modern Church of Satan. If you choose to live the life of a Modern Satanist and call yourself a member of the Modern Church of Satan then it is so.

The Infernal Order is only for those who wish to make a statement of their dedication and take part in the formal ceremonies, the social network and the Libertine and Exemplar path.

 

Exemplars

Exemplars are the leaders and teachers within the MCoS.
The Exemplar title is bestowed upon members based on their life’s accomplishments and their teaching and leadership qualities exhibited while interacting in the Grotto Forum. Technically a member should complete the Libertine System before becoming an Exemplar, but like everything else in the system, completion is more about success in life and personal happiness and satisfaction.

Senior members who have completed Libertine VII qualify to be considered for the Exemplar title. This title however, is not automatic, it is completely subjective and based more upon what the MCoS feels the member deserves, considering their history and track record within the MCoS. The title is bestowed upon those who display Exemplar qualities, those of a teacher and leader. At the MCoS' discretion, it may even be bestowed on members who have not yet completed Libertine VII but have displayed leadership qualities and have proven themselves within the MCoS.

Members may also nominate another member for the Exemplar title if that member has gone the extra mile in guiding, teaching and mentoring.

Like the Libertines, the Exemplar titles range from I to IX. These levels are also bestowed in a subjective manner depending on the Exemplar’s life accomplishments, work within the MCoS, and contributions to Satanism in general.
