 yes I remember playing the first DOOM quite often, on MSDOS. I also didn't realize it had a satanic element in it until recently, after I found out I find the game considerably more fun. Still play it from time to time, for kicks  beaten the game so many times as a kid, now I play and I can hardly beat the second level anymore. I believe DOOM and Wolfenstein 3D were the 1st First Person Shooters I ever played...actually they were probably the first invited in the genre ...

Oh man I love Doom! Since Id made the source available, there are a number of source ports for modern computers that take advantage of 3D video cards...some even allow 3d models to replace the original 2d sprites. It's like a whole new game...and man they look fantastic.

I love Doom. I remember spending some of my free time back at high school in my lab (I went to a career school and specialized on computer repair) playing it and trying to find glitches left and right.

I spent countless hours on that game. I got into designing wads for it too. I still pull it out once in a while and blast my way through it.

Doom3 sucked ass though...terrible game.
