It Has come to my attention that i am addicted to this game. I just love seeing the body parts fly. If you are sick and twisted like me i recommend this game. PS. if you already have it what do you think of it?

I checked it out on a friend's PC. It was a little disappointing. I'm a big fan of Fallout 2. This third installment seemed to me more like a weak Sci-Fi version of Oblivion than a real Fallout game.
To be fair, I didn't play much.

To be fair, I didn't play much. True but what did you expect from Bethesda i mean they did make oblivion.

Well in that case, I played enough. I didn't even realize it was the same designers. I really thought it was someone else copying their style. Oblivion was a strong game on it's own, but it's not what I'd hope for when it comes to Fallout 3. Similarly, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 had better be frickin awesome. Also they'd better run on my laptop.

I went and got it after i had already played The Elders scrolls III: Morrowind, and The Elders scrolls IV: Oblivion Both made by bethseda
All Fallout 3 is, is a modern version of oblivion. I think fallout 3 is one of the best rpg games out there.
Except the main quests. I don't like the fact that you cant continue when you do the last quest.

just save plenty of games, so that you can go back to certain key points in the game and take different paths from them. Now that i beat the main quest, i can just reload my save right before we go to the museum, and i can go a totally different route. It would be nice to be able to play after the waters clean, from what i gather you can in fact do this, but only on the CPU version with some sort of mod.

For all the "good" in the game. I thought the ending of the main storyline was very weak. The world is huge, the voice acting is great, and the VATS is amazing - who doesn't love blowing someones head off with a 10mm pistol.
I do disagree with the level cap - the game isn't online capable, so the level cap seems needless, there seems no reason a player should not be able to max out their stats through dedicated gameplay and collect all of the perks.
Lastly, I've only bought one of the expansions; Broken Steel, and it is a great expansion, but I think it's probably the only one worth buying, considering it raises the level cap and adds actually allows you to continue with a hard-built character.
Any opinions on the other expansions?

I LOVED this game! I tried it out on ps3 first but then switched to xbox and played it all the way through, even the add-ons, i got every achievement lol. Now i'm not that big of a gamer so it took me a year to do all that. I haven't found a game that has been able to draw me in like that.

Fallout 3 is the reason I bought a new gen gaming console. It's one of my favorite games to date. I can't wait for the New Vegas to come out! I'm going to buy the crap out of that.

I really enjoyed playing the video game. The graphics and gameplay are unique and awesome. I especially loved the GATS mode when I figured out how to use it. The major downside to this game for me was that it was way to short for me. This is because there was no warning that the water tower mission was the last one. So forewarning you may want to complete the other quests in the game to get more out of it first. Don't let them start up the robot and go for the water tower unless your ready to finish the game.
