I like House. In some ways he's the man I wish I was, only without the crippling injury, emotional mangling, and drug dependency.
Also, I had to post a new thread to bump down the freaking Viagra spammer.

I have only seen a couple of episodes over the years, though I do really enjoy Hugh Laurie's work. So, are there any episodes in which House or his colleagues deal with problems engendered by Viagra or those purporting to be its purveyors?

I don't watch tv that often, but when I do I usually watch House since it's one of my favorite shows and it stays intesesting each episode.

I just love how Hugh plays someone who is the exact opposite of who he is. In real life he is a really nice and pleasant guy who has a really strong brittish accent and doesn't have a limp. I think that's good acting.

Actually, yes there is a very good episode where House deals with the effects of Viagra on an elderly couple and their relationship. It's only peripheral to the main story, which was actually about dominance and submission.
I want you to know that I Googled "Dr House Viagra" to get the episode name, since it was an old one. Golly the interwebs are a swamp. . . anyway the episode was titled "Love Hurts"

My wife loves House so we watch quite a bit of it.
but if you think about it, the plot is basically the same every week.
patient comes in - house is not interested in taking the case.
something happens to change his mind.
Patient has weird symptoms - doctors diagnose and try different treatments. (lots of medical speak that none of us laypersons understand but we are mesmerised anyway)
patients symptoms change rendering current diagnosis and treatment incorrect - back to square one.
patient crashes a couple of times to create tension and excitement - what could the disease be????
more diagnosing and treatments - all incorrect.
while house is chatting to some other character (usually about a subplot topic) he has an epiphany and solves the case. big surprise there.
Since the main story line is the same each week the subplots are the only thing that keep it interesting. That is why most of us watch it. If it wasn't for House's obnoxious character the show would suck actually.

I agree, C-meister. I don't watch the show religiously, but if it's on and I'm in front of the telly, I'll watch it.
But you are so right. Same plot every week. Luckily it's about the journey, not the destination...

I'm a fan of House. I don't watch TV, but I have the episodes downloaded for when I have time.
I love the puzzle and though the plot is the same, I know a lot about various obscure diseases, so I love trying to diagnose the person before the end of the show.
Also, I am married to someone who is very much like House apart from the "asshole" gene. House's personality flaw is not due to pain or pain medication, just plain old crankiness.

admittadly we watch a lot of House. The show is getting to be more about House's personal issues and the medical stuff is just background really.

I admit I too am one for House. My wife on the other hand is a bit of a hypochondriac and starts thinking she might have some strange obscure illness.
There is one episode where the patient is a 15 year old boy who believes he is a faith healer, and he spends the whole time saying his illness is God's will ect ect, so House actually keeps score between God and himself, God getting points for the boys apparent healing of a cancer patient. All in all a good episode I thought, even, if I remember correctly, that God wins.
Tonight's episode seems cool too. The guy predicts his death, but diagnose is no illness. He leaves, dies, body comes to morgue. House goes to see the autopsy and the patient wakes up screaming. Now the diagnose is for resurrection.

XPT I don't mind this show House is a bit nuts, but he is a wonderful doc!! So yes, I think this one is worth having on tv no doubt.
