# 3 - What does Satanism mean to me?

Satanism is seeing the world as it is. It can be a horrible thing, to have all blinders stripped from you, to know the just world fallacy is just that, a fallacy. There is no God, looking out for you. There are no heroes, ready to save you. It's just one soul-crushing moment after another until you die. And then you're dead, that's it. Fini.

But it's liberating. Hope is for rubes. I am responsible for all my life's successes and failures. I can wake up every day and say "This is all about me". I wouldn't say it's selfish, I would say it's reclaiming personal space.

We are bombarded with information that says live like this, be happy like this, watch this, enjoy this, worship this. Satanism is my line in the sand. I will live how I want to live, owing nothing to gods or men.

Satanism gives me a good working model of human interaction. Everyone's doing it, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, all using the tactics of Satanism. They just like to find ways to justify it.

I like being free of hypocrisy. That's what Satanism does for me.
