Actually in the Satanic Witch...if slutty and dark suits your best qualities..go for it. I go for the intimidating, slightly fun persona myself. It works for me. Though with my glasses as a waitress I get better tips playing the sexy librarian at times!

My personal style would be mostly t-shirts/jeans with a good number of those shirts being black and the occasional polo, etc. for when they're needed.

I probably look more stereotypical than most, for a start I keep my head cleanly shaved and always sport a short beard, so there's a superficial resemblance to old Anton straight away (I once convinced a gullible acquaintance that I was his nephew!), and I've got a bit of visible ink if I wear short sleeves. But that is more coincidence than anything, I keep my head shaved because I went bald at 23 and I just look better with a beard. I do wear a fair bit of black and at times play the image up (in winter I'll often be seen out in a black leather overcoat with matching gloves) but I'm just s likely to wander about in jeans and a hoodie, most of the clothes I wear are functional above all else. I'm lucky to have a job that really doesn't put any constraints on what I look like beyond a few practical ones (big beards and lots of body piercings don;t really work cause of the equipment I wear) so I'm free to appear however I feel comfortable.

Conservative, casual - usually a monochrome blouse or T-shirt and dark jeans, in a variety of colours and styles, emphasizing blue and green. Big glasses in a colour that highlights my eyes. Rarely any jewelry or makeup, although I do take care of my skin and hair, and do my best to 'naturally glow'. Long, blonde hair, usually in a ponytail with a few curly strands hanging out; 15 seconds of effort for a high-maintenance look. Altogether not stereotypical for a satanist at all, but pretty standard for a scientist. This thread has reminded I need a lab coat to complete the image. It would be kind of weird to wear it around most of the time, though, since none of my lab work involves hazardous chemicals anymore.

I like to stand out, mainly as a statement that mainstream fashion conformity is overrated and unnecessary. There are certain styles that those of us who can appropriately maintain must continue to keep alive. I go back and forth between dyed Mohawk and dyed spikes, got 2 eyebrow rings and 3 lip rings. Facial hair similar to LaVey. I like to wear offensive, funny, satanic, and drug related sleeveless shirts, bearing my half sleeve tattoos consisting of satanic, pagan, draconic, and other dark custom tattoes. Usually jeans or shorts. Got 7/16 inch plugs in my ears.
I'm the kinda guy who you'd see and think "look at that satanic druggy weirdo"... And why not? It fits me and i wear it well. And for those who would be intimidated or uncomfortable, a few minutes of talking to me and experience my personality would quickly assure them that I'm one of the nicest guys they'll meet. Appearance is important and personal, but actions are of greater importance.

It goes something like, "you have to fit in to get along, but you have to stand out to get ahead." Most people are 80% decided about who you are in the first ten seconds. There are people I have worked with for years who have never seen my tattoos or heard anything about my "philosophical" views. In my line of work, the number one factor is people's willingness to trust me to get it done. I find that I close more projects and make more money if I don't "challenge" them too much with my appearance. If that means wearing long sleeve shirts, taking out my plugs, and keeping my opinions to myself when warranted, so be it. I make a LOT more money now that I have realized that. But, to each his own, your mileage may vary, and so on. XPT Awaken, Illumimate, Ascend

Xoshek, i agree 110% that the limits of how provocative or expressive your appearance can be is based on how much your appearance plays into your success and survival. If i weren't in my current position (semi-reclusive, night shift warehouse forklift driver in a freezer, single, living by myself) I'm sure I'd have to be a little more 'decent and presentable.' But, i currently have no restraints and my appearance has no effect on my financial or basic needs, so I'm free to look exactly how i want to look. That could easily change if i had to change jobs.

As I get older I find myself more and more likely to purchase a cute dress that compliments my womanly figure. I still dress very provocative when I go to show. Mini skirts, lots of cleavage, fishnet stockings, and an inverted cross necklace is pretty much my uniform but for every day wear I like to be as feminine as possible without showing my goods. Lately that means lots of pink.

Mostly my fashion choices now reflect the fact that I lost and have kept off nearly 50 pounds. I used to dress to blend in, and now I dress in a manner that pleases me. It helps that I am self employed in website design and my customers rarely if ever see me, but even if they did, being in a creative field I can get away with the magenta hair, funky hornrim glasses, even the half-sleeve tattoo of cats. Much of the time, like Xoshek, I wear a lot of LL Bean, Lands End, and Eddie Bauer, mostly because I find their clothes flattering and comfortable.
I don't dress to get across any kind of philosophical or religious leanings, though. My interest in Satanism is primarily philosophical, since I am a hard-form atheist, but in true Satanic form I know what is necessary to get ahead. Creative and funky I can get away with, but I have customers from all walks of life, from fundamentalist Christians to pagans and everything in between, so I don't advertise my beliefs either in dress or design. It's not relevant to my line of work and would probably make me lose business if they knew. That is not conducive to my bottom line. Those close to me know, and those who are not don't deserve to know.
