as it is written in the satanic bible,
there are 51 infernal names,
when one does a ritual with a specifiek desire( for example wealth or succes)
does one call upon all the names or just the one who is needed?
en where can you find for what all these names stand for?
i just like to know this,

In my opinion, there is no right or wrong answer. If you choose to work with ritual, I find it best to create your own rules. Your only focus should be your desired outcome. How you get there is up to you.

Just my opinion,

Greetings MS82,

Personally when I engage in ritual (which is admittedly not all that often) I generally use those that have an affinity to myself and teh situation to hand rather than just all of the names I can think of.

THAT SAID if one has thought through their situation adequately a part of that surely must involve pulling it apart and viewing it from all directions! In that sense I will call on whatever names are or rather could be useful, X and Y for the wish, Z and A to clear blocks, L and M to strengthen my resolve and Q and R to help me spot the result should it come guised and so on as it were.

In that sense I agree with O. simply with the caveat (if you will) that the names used are those with whom there is some form of contact and a sense of knowlege of in what way they may be of assistance.

Otherwise it tends to just be making a big splash (metaphysically if one likes) and then trying to channel the drops where you want them ... though there is a time and a place for that too! lol

hmm yes... you see im a bit of a perfectionist in every way, so i like to do things like they really should be done( its just to satify myself)
so thats said. i think i now what you mean..
so wil turn me to the book " 72 demons of the ars goetia" because that one really hits the spot ;-) ( anyone used this book before?) instead of calling names that i dont know what they mean.. that would really disturb me when im performing a ritual...

Greetings MS82,

Goetia!? Oh yes indeedy! Though I am a sucker for the ambiance of others like the Verum and Honorius I have always found the Goetia to be probably the most useful of those phone books. *Winks*

Why bother calling forth some many entities at once? Only one or two is generally needed, and if you are worried about lack of balance, you need only the "king" (Satan, Lucifer, or some analogous figure).
